Your Third Space Experience
When hot, cold, and connection come together
Cozy, unfussy, a little playful —made for caring for yourself alongside others.
Maybe you’ve just come from the ocean, from work, from bed, from a long day, or from nowhere in particular. You arrive, take a breath, and give yourself permission to slow down.
At Third Space, the experience is simple: warm up, cool down, repeat as you like. Settle into the sauna, let the heat soften your shoulders, quiet your mind, and bring you back into your body. When you’re ready, take the plunge — a quick, cold reset that wakes you up in the best way. Then wrap yourself in a towel, sip something warm, chat with a friend, or just stare off into the Santa Barbara sky for a minute.
Come solo, come with your people, or make a few new sauna friends while you’re here. There’s no perfect way to do it. You don’t need to be a wellness expert, an athlete, or someone who owns a special hat for this kind of thing. You just need to show up.
We’re here for the hot, the cold, the in-between, and the little moments that happen after — when your nervous system exhales, your phone stays in your bag, and you remember that feeling good doesn’t have to be complicated.
What you'll find at Third Space

our locationsFunk Zone
209 Santa Barbara Street
typically Sunday - Wednesday
The Funk Zone location is our oasis tucked just off the buzz, palm trees overhead. Some sessions are quiet, low conversation and cedar heat. Others turn into a full room of laughter, the energy shifting entirely with whoever shows up that day. Sip tea between rounds, cheer a stranger as they work up the nerve for the cold plunge and settle in like you've got nowhere else to be. Once your session is over, you’re welcome to lounge and chat, or head out - just steps from all the downtown fun whenever you're ready for it.

Rincon

Rincon is where your day exhales. Thursday and Friday evenings, as the light goes gold over the water, or Saturday for a morning and mid-day session. You'll find us perched above the bluffs, a window framing the Ocean. Inside, it's cedar heat. Outside, ocean air with pelicans flying by, and dolphins if you're lucky. Then, just a few minutes walk down to the water - maybe alongside some new friends from the sauna - for a plunge before heading back up to do it all again.
